Shanitra "Shan" founded M.O.B. Academy on the premises of helping transform the braidless skill sets and business mindsets of beauty professionals. She wanted to help her beauty peers build a business not just through their skillset but through learning essential business skills that would help sustain and grow their business.
Shanitra’s former restaurant management and HR Specialist skills helped create and shape her business work ethics in her beauty business. In those roles is where she learned invaluable customer service, communication, management, and time management skills. She resolved employee conflicts, facilitated group orientations, and customer service trainings. These core skills are what foster the business environment for her own beauty business. It’s what has helped her sustain and continue to grow her beauty business.
She has over 8 years of running and growing a beauty business, with over nine years’ experience in performing the no-braid sew-in weaving technique. She’s dedicated to teaching and helping others grow. Through our academy, Shanitra “Shan” has formed relationships with local colleges and trained students across the globe.
